10 Ways Eroica Can Help You Get a Date

Well, there are only 6, but I'm sure this caught your attention!

1. The Caesar Gabriel method: Although he only appeared in one volume, Caesar is still in both the English and Japanese wikipedia articles. he was a completely innocent boy who fell head over heels in love with the Earl of Gloria by the end of volume 1. He was also fawned upon by every single woman (and from time to time man) who met him. What was his tactic? Nothing! He simply acted innocent, intelligent and modest and everyone loved him. Of course, he is particularly well styled: he has a nice haircut and he's also in good shape. Of course, that goes without saying.

2. How to not be like G: Agent G is a cross-dressing nag who can never figure out who he truly loves. Not being able to put your finger on one person and make up your mind is completely unromantic, and, in general, a complete turnoff. His jealousy, clingy-ness, and fawning behavior are three of the worst tactics in winning someone's heart. even his good looks can't cover that up.

3. Agent Z: Agent Z has one thing that makes him attractive, other than his looks: his nonchalant and seemingly clueless behavior. he is also a man of few words and never gets riled up. But, this also has a downside. If you are like this, you may accidentally turn people away, instead of becoming closer to them.

4. Klaus: The man who loves no one can easily be loved. Someone who doesn't care at all can actually become increasingly attractive. He's short-tempered, as well as strong, which is good if your target likes masculinity. The down side: he's actually completely afraid of love. DO not let this happen to you!

5. Dorian: Dorian's flamboyant and elegant nature makes him easily attractive. He's romantic and expresses beauty in every way he can. The downside: he turns away many potential lovers at the wave of his hand. Some of those people could have actually been wonderful, and he'll never know.

6. James: like Agent G, James is clingy and fawning. Even worse, he's money grubbing and a complete tightwad. But, unlike G, James can be incredibly sweet. He's non-threatening, and has only one true love, who he's completely devoted to through thick and thin.

Well, I hoped this helped somebody!

My life as an office assistant: an alter-ego is born

(click on the image to read the inscription, etc.)

Hello friends, family and everyone else:

The other morning I was offered the job of office assistant for HiArt and TimeIn. In need of money and loving to have my mother as my employer, I gladly accepted the job. It was 8:00 AM and we were dashing down the turnpike in our filthy, leased BMW. The job proved to be quite easy, and actually sort of refreshing. It gave me a chance to find some sort of organization in life, just for once.

My mother and I have been reading a famous manga called From Eroica with Love (エロイカより愛をこめて)by Yasuko Aoike. The author has been writing it since 1976 and she is still writing today. It is the story of an openly gay art thief and his love for (and interferences with) a seemingly a-sexual German NATO officer. I read the first three volumes alone, so I had lots of different opinions about it when my mother and I found the time on our recent trip to Germany to sit down and read them together. The thing that struck me the most was my mother's inexplicable obsession with the art thief Dorian's skinflint accountant, James. A note: apparently, Yasuko Aoike was a huge Led Zepplin fan, so she decided to make Dorian look like Robert Plant. Other members of the theft group, Eroica, are also meant to look like members of Led Zepplin. So, naturally the accountant, James, is supposed to be Jimmy Page. He is an awfully far-fetched rendering of him: short, skinny, fawning, comic relief, etc.

Knowing this, I can now tell you what led me to decide to take the job, other than the promise of cash. I decided that, if I were to take a job that the real me swore never to take, I would therefore have to become someone else. So, when I am working as an office assistant, from now on, I will be my alter-ego, "James 'Jamie' Page."

To do this I will need a list of items that may or may not be hard to find.

My TO DO list:

1. Get a vintage Casio Mini
2. Sew myself a herringbone skirt-suit with patches
3. get a wavy black wig with hair over one eye

I hope you will follow my journey as James Page of HiArt and TimeIn.

So, from APEOT with love, GOOD LUCK!!
